Treatment ExpectationsTreatment Expectations.pdf (65k)

"The above Treatment Expectations PDF file is a partial list describing treatments we commonly use. Please be aware that any particular treatment may not always be useful. The important thing is applying the right treatment, in the right place, at the right time. The ultimate source of injury is from overloading your body enough to cause damage. We can fix the injury, but if the load isn't managed, the problem will return. Advice is used through the course of treatment to allow you to stay active while not compromising your recovery. After the problem is fixed, it may be necessary to institute changes in your training or work environment."

"Rocky Mountain Human Performance Center clients fall into four classes: Those who are frustrated because they can't lose weight; people in their late 30s and 40s alarmed by the first signs of middle-age and looking for a general fitness program; individuals requiring resolution for sport or recreation injuries; and people who want to improve performance in a particular sport."

Newspaper article by George Lenker, from "The Republican" (Springfield, MA), July 25, 2004.

"For health and lifestyle coach Stephen Black, a front-page headline in 'The Republican,' April 28th, could have served as an advertisement for his work: The headline read, 'WMass fat, depressed, survey says.' For Black, the article under that headline simply reinforced his decision to open Rocky Mountain Human Performance Center, a new lifestyle and fitness facility at 1111 Elm St., West Springfield, MA."

"The first thing that you notice about Steve Black is that he is interested in his clients, quietly competent and exudes patience. It's also apparent that Black loves his work which includes injury resolution, sport specific programs and, the reason that I am in his office, weight management."
