Bike Tour Of Italy

From May 14 to 20, 2006, Steve participated in a bike tour of Italy from Florence to Rome. The tour was part of the ART (Active Release Technique®) cycling venture with Eddie Merckx program.

The accommodations exceeded our expectations and made for a memorable trip.
Steve presented a number of seminars at the World Spinning® & Sports Conference, which was held from June 2nd to the 4th, 2006, at the Hotel Intercontinental, Miami, Florida.

Steve Black conducted a class called CRANK YOUR METABOLISM: "Weight management is easy if you manage by the numbers. Knowing your metabolic needs and at what heart rate you burn fat or carbohydrates will guarantee success. The session will focus on the importance of evaluating metabolism and identifying heart rate zones associated with each individual’s 'burn rate.' A must attend for those engaged in the outcomes of their clients."

Steve was a speaker at the IHRSA 25th Anniversary International Convention and Trade Show, March 20-23, 2006 in Las Vegas.

Steve has been a speaker at IHRSA's Annual Meeting and Trade Show since 1987, presenting a variety of timely topics on wellness, fitness and rehabilitation. This year IHRSA celebrated its 25th Anniversary International Convention and Trade Show on March 20-23, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Steve's presentation topics at IHRSA were, "Profiting From The Science Of Exercise," focusing on cardiovascular training, and "Don't Break My Bones: The Role of Exercise In The Prevention And Treatment of Osteoporosis." IHRSA celebrated its 25th anniversary in Las Vegas, March 20-24. There were over 10,000 attendees and over 450 vendors at IHRSA's best show ever.

As always early morning workouts were jammed with enthusiastic exercisers trying out the latest in fitness and wellness equipment.

World Duathlon Championships in Newcastle, Australia

Steve provided medical care for the 113 Team USA athletes attending the World Duathlon Championships in Newcastle, Australia, September 24 & 25, 2005.
Steve Black Provides Coverage for the Tim Daggett Invitational
Steve Black and RockyMountain Human Performance Center provided injury care and conditioning consultation for the more than 500 attendees at the Daggett Invitational Gymnastics Meet this past spring.

The meet was attended by men's and women's gymnastic teams throughout New England and is a popular Spring event among elite gymnasts.

The meet took place at Gold Medal Gymnastics in Agawam, Massachusetts. RockyMountain Human Performance Center is available to provide on-site athletic training services for all sporting events.



Steve lectures to the faculty of Agawam, Massachusetts School System on the importance of stress management.
